Design Charette Planned for $1 Million Rose Park Playground Renovation

The Trust for Public Land and the D.C. Department of Parks & Recreation will host a public meeting about the renovation Thursday at 7 p.m.

Parents and children who enjoy the playground at Rose Park in Georgetown's East Village are invited to participate in an upcoming design charette for the estimated $1 million renovation of the playground.

Rose Park was one of 32 District playgrounds selected last year by Mayor Vincent Gray and his administration to benefit from an estimated $30 million in renovations and upgrades.

Late last year D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) held public meetings to receive commuity input on proposed renovations. Rose Park was one of several parks selected to receive additional planning support from the Trust for Public Land (TPL).
