UPDATE: Off-Duty D.C. Police Officer Shot in Michigan: Report
Officer is expected to recover, according to WXYZ.com. He and brother-in-law may have been targeted in carjacking outside strip club.

A Washington, D.C. police officer was shot in Dearborn, Mich. early Monday, according to a report by FOX 2, a Michigan TV station.
The officer, a passenger in a truck being carjacked, was shot in the back, and the driver, the officer’s brother-in-law, also was grazed outside a strip club, according to a WXYZ.com report. The police officer was apparently targeted in the carjacking, the report stated.
The officer’s police department in D.C. told the TV station that he is expected to recover. He was taken to St. John’s Hospital at about 2:30 a.m. Monday.
