El Centro Opening New Location on Wisconsin Avenue
The 14th Street taco and margarita joint is coming to the former Third Edition space.
El Centro will open its second DC location at 1218 Wisconsin Ave. NW, the former home of Third Edition, according to DC Eater. The eatery speciliazes in Mexican comfort food, eat-in or take-out tacos, margaritas and tequila.
"We really believe there's a need," for Mexican food in Georgetown, Ivan Iricanin, partner and director of operations for Richard Sandoval's restaurants, told DC Eater.
DC Eater reports that the Georgetown location will cover two floors and may have a patio, but there will not be a roof deck like at the 14th Street location.

Third Edition closed in February. El Centro is expected to open in June.
