Enjoy Wine and Fine Food in Georgetown -- For Free

Dean & Deluca on M Street is inviting people to "celebrate summer" next week.

Upscale grocery store Dean & Deluca on M Street in Georgetown is offering a free wine and fine food testing next week.

"Pairing on the Potomac" will take place at the store from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, according to a statement.

"Dean & DeLuca, the world’s leading purveyor of fine food, is inviting guests to celebrate summer with fine wine and epicurean delights," the statement reads. "Free and open to the public, Georgetown’s in-store event will feature three tasting areas showcasing three specialty vintners paired with delicacies from Dean & DeLuca’s catering, prepared foods, and cheese and charcuterie selections."

According to the announcement, the featured pairings include:

  • Country Vitner Wines paired with Dean & DeLuca’s delicious catering selections of tenderloin of beef on crostini with red onion marmalade; and miniature crispy chicken Thai spring rolls with honey soy sauce.
  • Opici Vintner paired with Dean & DeLuca’s gourmet prepared food bites including spinach and feta stuffed chicken breast; petite crab cakes with old bay remoulade dip; and watermelon and feta salad.
  • Robins Cellar wine paired with Dean & DeLuca’s artisanal cheese and charcuterie selections including Bernina Bresaola; Smoked Speck; Dry Molinary Salami; Grand Valley Manchego; Babrer Cow Milk Cheddar; and Midnight Moon Goat Cheese.

The store is located at 3276 M Street NW.
