ENO Wine Bar celebrates its 1st year in Georgetown

Opened in the fall of 2013, ENO Wine Bar has spent the last year introducing its neighbors to a new wine bar experience. In an approachable, yet sophisticated setting, ENO offers a distinct menu of seasonal small plates, local cheese, charcuterie, chocolate, and wine. The cozy, three-level wine bar offers hundreds of selections from both the Old World and New World with approximately half of the bottles priced under $60. ENO offers 30 wines by the glass, and eight on tap, with prices starting at $9. For ENO’s wine aficionados, the specially curated Bucket List with notable wines poured from a Coravin Wine System start at $30.

ENO has positioned itself as the neighborhood wine bar, welcoming guest to relax and grab a glass of wine after work, hold private events in The Cellar, meet with friends on the weekend, or enjoy a cozy date night. Since opening, visits from our local vintners, cheese makers and chocolatiers have been a monthly occurrence at ENO. Dubbed “ENOversity”, the casual-yet-informative tasting sessions allow guests to brush up on array of wine topics. Our in-house wine geeks, Sabrina Kroeger and Roberto Picado, have also introduced a monthly Sunday wine school of their own, curating perfect pairings and highlighting wines of select regions.

To celebrate the past years success, ENO Wine Bar created a guest-inspired anniversary flight featuring it’s most popular wines; Mohua Sauvignon Blanc, Iris Vineyards Pinot Noir, and Familia Mayol Malbec. Facebook’s fans will have a chance to name this $15 flight which will be available all month. The flight’s name will be announced on Friday, October 17 before the anniversary celebration kicks off.

On Saturday, October 19 from 6PM – 8PM, ENO will be transformed into a tasting room welcoming back seven local vintners and producers like Barboursville Vineyards, Tarara Winery, Siema Wines, Jackson Family Wines, and Thibaut-Janisson Winery all offering tastes of their signature wines. Gearharts Fine Chocolates and Stachowski Charcuterie will provide small bites for the occasion and ENO will offer a bruschetta for $1 in honor of its first year.
