Presented by Sharna Fabiano Tango Company
At The Shakespeare Company's Sidney Harman Hall

Sharna Fabiano Tango Company presents Abrazo, a layered narrative of acted scenes and contemporary dance choreography that invites the audience into a literal and figurative Tango embrace. A man and a woman meet on the dance floor and, with the guidance of a curious Reporter and four dancers, investigate both the thrill and the trepidation that closeness provokes. Artistic Director Sharna Fabiano was named to Dance magazine’s “25 To Watch” list in 2008 and featured as an emerging artist in the Washingtonian and Dance/USA Journal. The Dance View Times writes “Fabiano does something more that takes tango further afield with her contemporary perspective on realigning the dance style with what might be better understood as 'downtown' dance." Original script by contemporary American poet Hannah Louise Poston.
