During the DC Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, locals will walk over two days and journey 39 miles through the nation’s capital and streets of Georgetown.
The funds raised will ensure that women and men get the medical care they need regardless of their ability to pay, and leading research teams can receive vital support in their ongoing search for a cure.
To-date the Avon Foundation for Women has awarded $59 million to organizations and institutions in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC.
