Block Party for Scheele's Market

Gather for an evening block party and support a good cause while you're at it!

The Friends of Scheele's Market are hosting a fundraiser in the form of a block party, with seated, alfresco dining and live music.

The party is June 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. on 29th Street between Dumbarton and O Streets.

From the event notice:

"The block party will help raise the funds needed to complete a final agreement with the property owner of the building to guarantee that Scheele’s remains open for at least 15 more years.

Join the block party dinner with your contribution of $75 per person.

Checks made payable to 'Friends of Scheele’s' and delivered to Mike Peabody’s house at 2811 Dumbarton, or to Tom Birch at 1240 29^th Street."
