As part of Kids Euro Fest, a coming-of-age story, Night Herders introduces Juze, a ten-year-old boy who lives in a Lithuanian village. Juze thinks that he’s ready to become a man — but he’s not as quite as ready to face the injustices in his world. A friendship with an older, more experienced horseman, Peliksas, opens Juze’s eyes to the possibilities of life around him — but Peliksas’ fear of an abusive father makes Juze aware of a world he’d rather not see.
