"Strong Is the New Beautiful" Teen Pilates Camp

Fuse Pilates Teen Pilates Camp focuses on the strength and beauty of being fit and healthy for teens ages 14-17. The week-long, half-day camp will begin at 9 a.m. daily with a full hour of Fuse Pilates mat introduction training. The second half of the day will focus on various topics promoting self-confidence, positive body image, and informative nutritional information ending with a healthy lunch provided daily by Sweetgreen.

Monday: Intro to Pilates & Fitness You Love

Guest speaker: Mariska Breland, Founder of Fuse Pilates, will overview the history of Pilates and the Fuse Method, and how she went from ditching gym class to building a life around fitness.

Tuesday: Confidence is Strength

Guest speaker: Angie Goff, NBC Washington will discuss how exercising creates a healthy, toned body, it’s also important to know that confidence comes from other elements, not just looking good physically.

Wednesday: Style for Your Body

Guest speaker: Holly Thomas from Refinery 29 will speak about dressing for confidence and comfort from going to school to working out.

Thursday: Nutrition

Guest speaker: Dasha Barannik, Director, Sweetgreen will discuss the importance of a balanced diet and the benefits of nutrition for physical and mental health.

Friday: Show Your Strength, “Bring Your Own Music”

Students will recap what they have learned and celebrate in a Fuse Pilates end-of-camp party set to their favorite tunes.
