The Tales of Hoffmann

Riverbend Opera Company pressents Offenbach's masterpiece The Tales of Hoffmann (Les contes d'Hoffmann) at St. Augustine's Episcopal Church in SW Washington, a joint production with The Southest Chamber Players.  Among the favorite operas of all time, Hoffmann is a work full of compelling characters and  tuneful and familiar melodies which will stay in your mind for weeks afterwards.  Professionally cast with singers from the Met and Washington National Opera, this will be a concert performance, semi-staged and presented with projected English surtitles.  Please see the Riverbend Opera website for more information on the cast and other performances in this production.

This June 14 performance is a "Pay What You Can" presentation. This is a wonderful way to try out opera, and Riverbend, without risk. Attendees may decide how much, or whether, to contribute to help defray the considerable costs of mounting a production like this. If you can purchase an advance ticket at any price level it will help us continue to provide affordable opera to our area in the future. All of our artists are very grateful for your support!
