Yoro Ndiaye on the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage

At an early age, Ndiaye created his own hand-made guitars. He spent time with local musicians in Mbacke,Senegal, which provided him with a solid knowledge about the basics of music. While attending university, he was lead vocalist for the regional orchestra of Diourbel.Yoro Ndiaye now finds the more introspective sweet spot of the dance-oriented, glittering Afropop style mbalax.
