A Choral Postlude II: All Creation Sings with Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek at Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

The Fairfax Choral Society's Adult Symphonic Chorus presents All Creation Sings! on Saturday, May 21 as a postlude to the 5:15 pm mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C. Their Symphonic Chorus season culminates with an encore performance in the largest church in the western hemisphere and the eighth largest church building in the world. FCS is honored to be invited again this season to present a choral Postlude in the magnificent space of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. The program is based on the theme of creation and includes In the Beginning by Aaron Copland, Paul Mealor’s Locus Iste, and, from his “All-Night Vigil,” Rachmaninoff’s Bless the Lord, O My Soul. Joining us for this exciting performance will be Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek, world-renowned mezzo-soprano and member of the stellar early-music vocal quartet Anonymous 4. The concert is free and open to the public.
