Faith and Freedom Conference Interrupted by Bomb Threats

The gathering of Republican leaders at the Omni Shoreham hotel received several threats, police said.

A gathering of Republican leaders, the Faith and Freedom conference in Washington, D.C., has been disrupted by bomb threats, reports say.

District of Columbia police told a Washington Examiner reporter that the event was evacuated about 1:30 p.m. Friday after threats were received. Police expect to let the event continue after a bomb sweep.

A Huffington Post reporter said the event is being held at the Omni Shoreham hotel in Washington. Igor Bobic reports attendees were moved to another room while police sweep the main ballroom.
