Fino Italian Restaurant Closes in Georgetown, Moving Downtown

The Italian staple had been in Georgetown since 1988.

Fino Italian Restaurant, an M Street eatery since 1988, has closed, according to Prince of Petworth.

The local blog posted a photo of a note taped to Fino's window, which said the Italian restaurant would be moving to 1230 9th St., NW near the convention center.

No word on what will take Fino's play at 3011 M St., NW next to Sprinkles Cupcakes and Hu's Shoes.

According to a retail brokerage site, the Fino space is up for lease and could be combined with the second floor to create as much as 9,000 square feet.

Fino is the second long-time Georgetown Italian eatery to close in recent months; Paparazzi closed in May.
