Five Stabbed in Northwest DC Restaurant

A man stabbed five people in a Northwest DC restaurant and bar early Saturday and ran from the area, according to a report by Reuters.
DC Police said on social media the suspect in the stabbings is a black man, about 5’7” to 5’8” tall wearing a plaid shirt and a trench coat who ran from the scene.
The victims, who were celebrating a birthday, were reportedly in serous condition but expected to be OK, according to media reports.

The incident took place at about 12:37 a.m. Saturday at McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon, 2401 Pennsylvania Ave., in DC’s Foggy Bottom neighborhood near George Washington University.
The suspect fled on foot heading east on Pennsylvania Avenue, according to media reports.

The bar is about eight blocks away from The White House.
