Footage Released of Man Kidnapping Georgetown Student: Police
Police say a man forced a student into his car and then drove around the area trying to take cash out of ATMs and make major purchases.

WASHINGTON, DC — Police have released footage and a picture of a man who they say kidnapped a Georgetown University student by forcing him into his vehicle and then getting him to withdraw cash from ATMs in the area, as well as make large purchases in stores.
Police say the man approached the student in the 3400 block of O Street NW on Jan. 26 at around 3:20 p.m. and forced him into a vehicle.
"The suspect made several attempts to force the victim to withdraw money from an automated teller machines (ATM) and make large purchases at retail locations, both in the District of Columbia and Maryland," according to a report from the Metropolitan Police Department.

Police believe the suspect and victim were in the 4500 and 5400 blocks of Wisconsin Avenue NW.
"The suspect is described as white male in his late 30’s to 40’s, 5’9’’-6’0’’ tall, with a medium build, dark colored hair, dark colored mustache, and beard. He was last seen wearing a black suit, black shirt, gray neck tie, and black shoes," the report states. "The suspect’s vehicle is described as a light gray or silver colored sport-utility vehicle (SUV) or crossover style four door of an unknown make or model."

Police say no weapon was displayed at any time.
