Fortune 500 Companies Recruit Talent at CAREERS & the disABLED Magazine’s Career Expo Nov. 18

Free one-day event provides opportunities for job seekers.

Washington, DC, November 18, 2016--Equal Opportunity Publications, Inc., (EOP), the leading publisher of diversity recruitment print and online magazines, announces registration is open for its CAREERS & the disABLED Magazine’s Career Expo for People with Disabilities and Wounded Warriors on November 18 at Ronald Reagan Building, Atrium Hall in Washington, DC, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Job seekers attending this free event will have the chance to meet with a host of various recruiters from Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. The Career Expo’s corporate silver sponsor is Northrop Grumman, and its corporate bronze sponsor is Deloitte.

In addition to those top-notch firms, the list of exhibitors recruiting at the event includes Capital One, Transportation Security Administration, Lockheed Martin, Navy Civilian Careers, The EMMES Corporation, U.S. Department of State, SUEZ in North America, U.S. Postal Service, Sorenson Communications, U.S. Army Medicine Civilian Corps and many more.

Attendees should pre-register online at www.eop.com/expo to attend the event, where they can also view more exhibitors. On the day of the event, attendees should bring copies of their resume, and be dressed in business or military attire. Attendees must be 18 years or older, with requisite proof.

“The U.S. Department of Labor’s passage of Section 503 establishes a nationwide utilization goal of seven percent for qualified Individuals with disABILITIES,” says John R. Miller III, EOP chairman, and CEO and publisher of CAREERS & the disABLED magazine.

“This has galvanized industry and government to take action toward reaching and recruiting people with disABILITIES, with the result of an increase in the number of recruiters participating in our career fairs,” Miller adds.
