GBA Honors Jim Weaver's Memory with Lifetime Achievement Award
W.T. Weaver and sons, located at 1208 Wisconsin Ave. NW, is a fourth generation family-owned business.

The Georgetown Business Assocation held its annual leadership luncheon recently where the organization posthumously recognized Jim Weaver of W.T. Weaver & Sons with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The GBA recognized Weaver for his "outstanding service to the Georgetown community." His sons, wife, and daughter accepted the award on his behalf.
Weaver passed away in April and is now buried in Georgetown in Oak Hill cemetery, according to the Georgetowner.
The award was a map of Georgetown engraved on a glass plate and designed by the Keith Lipert Gallery.
Bryce Weaver, Jim's son, spoke briefly about his father.
The Georgetowner reports:
"Weaver said the business award was 'a consolation to our whole family' and that he accepted 'for our dad and all those who passed away'."
The luncheon was sponsored by by Cardinal Bank, the Law Offices of Charles H. Camp, iBusiness Technologies/LightSpeed, The Heimbold Family, R. David Chambers Photography and was held at Sea Catch Restaurant.
