Georgetown Inn Celebrates 50 Years, New Ownership

American Mortgage Investment Company president Sheldon Magazine opened the Georgetown Inn opened 1962. restaurant sit at street level, serving guests and non-guests alike.

Patel has plans to renovate the 96-room boutique hotel over the next several years.

According to a press release about the hotel, it has served a range of guests to include notables like "the Mercury Seven (the seven original astronauts), artist Andy Warhol, actors Robert Stack and George Burns, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, and political luminaries like the Kennedy family."
