Georgetown Students Move In Friday

Freshmen students can begin moving into their on-campus dorms Aug. 24.

Wide-eyed freshmen students and their weepy-eyed parents will soon be a common sight in the West Village: freshman move-in begins Friday at 6 p.m.

The weekend of Aug. 24 marks the annual migration of new and returning Georgetown University students. are scheduled throughout the weekend for families and their scholars.

According to the university's housing website:

  • Aug. 24, "Students assigned to Harbin, Village C, Village A, Kennedy, McCarthy and Reynolds Halls. Students may arrive between 6 and 11 p.m. Keys will be distributed from the Residence Hall Office until 11 p.m."
  • Aug. 25, "Move-in for first-year and transfer students assigned to Alumni Square, Townhouses, New South, Darnall, Henle, LXR, Nevils and Copley. Students may check in between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Move in assistance will end at 3 p.m. Keys will be distributed from the Residence Hall Office of the building you are assigned."
  • Aug. 26, "All returning students may return to campus. Keys will be distributed from the Residence Hall Office of the building you are assigned between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m."

Classes resume Wednesday, Aug. 29.
