Georgetown Trees Damaged, Downed by Storm

Seven trees will have to be removed entirely.

At least seven Georgetown trees including the neighborhood's biggest at 35th and Prospect Streets will have to be removed entirely after . Many others will have branches removed or be evaluated by arborists to determine the best way to prevent disease and further damage.

, told the ANC that the UFA has received approximately 20 requests for service in Georgetown (not Burleith or Glover Park). Throughout the city, UFA received more than 1,400 tree-related service requests.

Residents who have not reported a tree limb or downed tree should do so through 311, said Emes. Residents may call 311 or go online at 311.dc.gov to report downed trees and branches in public space.
