Georgetown Visitation Participated in the Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association Championships
Georgetown Visitation competed against area schools at the event Saturday, May 14.
s petite girls' first eight placed fifth, the second eight placed sixth and the junior girls' eight placed first Saturday at the Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association Championships at Sandy Run Regional Park in Fairfax.
Visitaiton's petite girls' first eight came in fifth at 5:24.1. The girls' second eight came in sixth with a time of 5:38.7.
The junior girls' eight came in first with a time of 5:30.2, beating out Forrest Park and Thomas Jefferson High School.
Madison High School's girls' first eight took the title with a time of 4:54.1, edging T.C. Williams and Thomas Jefferson High Schools, who came in second and third, respectively.

Teams who placed in the top two or three of their final heats on Saturday earned bids to the Scholastic Rowing Association of America National Championship Regatta, held on Memorial Day weekend in Camden, N.J.
