Georgetown's Dog Tag Inc. Featured in AT&T documentary "RESOLUTION"

How One Organization is Changing the Narrative Regarding Veterans with Disabilities

On February 1, AT&T held a screening for its original documentary, RESOLUTION, at the new AT&T Forum in Washington, D.C. The documentary highlights organizations that focus on empowering people with disabilities. One such organization is Georgetown’s own Dog Tag, Inc.

Founded on the conviction that no veteran who wants to work and pursue their career goals should be unemployed, Dog Tag, Inc. seeks to provide a transformative opportunity for veterans with disabilities by offering an education at Georgetown University and real life work experience in their small business venture, Dog Tag Bakery. Upon completion of the Dog Tag, Inc. program, transitioned veterans are business ready, competitive and employable.

Dog Tag, Inc. focuses on changing the established narrative regarding veterans with disabilities. The organization hopes to create an inclusive environment in which veterans have access to emotional support and employment opportunities. “You shouldn’t be labeling someone disabled because you’re already taking them out of the game plan,” Dog Tag, Inc. CEO Meghan Ogilvie says in the documentary.

With over 50,000 people experiencing disabilities in the U.S., disabled individuals play a larger role in our communities than some may be aware. AT&T understands that accessibility is more than just a word, it’s a commitment, and RESOLUTION is just one way that AT&T is using the power of their network to connect with people in new and exciting ways. The film made its debut on DirecTV’s AUDIENCE Network on Oct. 30 and is currently available On Demand.
