Get Out: Washington Master Chorale Concert, Taste of Kiwanis and More

1. Washington Master Chorale Presents "Mystical Supper"
- When/Where: 4 to 5:30 p.m. (3 p.m. for pre-concert lecture) Sunday at The National Presbyterian Church (4101 Nebraska Ave., NW).
- Why Go: The Washington Master Chorale, a semiprofessional chorus, will present its fall concert, "Mystical Supper," this weekend and will offer a pre-concert lecture about the main performance piece, Missa Brevis and historical background in Hungary before the Soviet liberation in 1945. According to the event website, the chorale will perform "The Missa Brevis, along with a cappella motets from the Russian Orthodox tradition, including works by Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Gretchaninoff, and others."
- Price: Tickets start at $20 ($10 for students).
2. Taste of Kiwanis
- When/Where: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Ballroom at 4301 Wilson Blvd.
- Why Go: Taste of Kiwanis will allow participants to sample food from eight Arlington-area restaurants
- Price: $25 if purchased online, $30 at the door.
3. Mid City Artists Fall Open Studios Tour

- When/Where: Noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at a variety of studios along the 14th Street corridor. Check the map for locations.
- Why Go: Enjoy a crisp fall day and support local artists. According to the event notice: "Twenty artists, who are part of the 'Mid City Artists' collaborative, will open the studio doors of their own unique galleries, homes, garages, carriage houses, live/work studios, and studio collaboratives?
- Price: Free.
- When/Where: The event is from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Gulf Branch Nature Center at 3608 N. Military Road.
- Why Go: Try fresh apple cider, candle making, and blacksmithing at this annual old-fashioned fall harvest festival.
- Price: $5 per person. Children under three are free.
5. 2012 Ballston Arts & Crafts Market
