Gumbo Lover Leaves Jumbo Tip: $2,000 on $93 Bill: Report

A fan of D.C. restaurant Blue 44’s gumbo gave a jumbo tip on Monday, according to a report by Washington, D.C. Eater.

The tip of $2,000 was left on a bill of $93. The patron, who prefers to remain anonymous and is described as a regular, scribbled “Thank you for gumbo!” on his check, Eater reports.

“We love our regulars and last night one was so generous....we are speechless!” Blue 44 tweeted out on Wednesday.
