Haunted Happenings: 'Scream City DC' Opens Friday
This haunted house experience comes to DC from the award-winning company that produces Olney, Maryland's "Field of Screams."

Las Vegas-based Steelhead Productions, known for its scary “Field of Screams” in Olney, Md., is expanding its bloodcurdling business into DC-proper.
”Scream City, Washington, DC,” a fully enclosed, 40-minute walk-through “haunt experience,” will be located in the parking lot of RFK Stadium and open Friday (see map below). The attraction is recommended for ages 13 and older (read other warnings here).
Scream City is artfully constructed, the company says, using carefully crafted back-stories that build the foundation of these experiences, which play off the spectrum of human fear. The haunted houses offer multiple inter-attraction activities. In Olney, Field of Screams is an outdoor experience comprised of four unique fright areas that last year won cable TV channel A&E’s national haunted house design/build competition.
