Help Fight Chronic Homelessness With Georgetown 5k Race
The Georgetown 5k Race Against Homelessness is Sunday, March 26.

GEORGETOWN, DC — Just a few hours out of your own house could help someone else find theirs, Georgetown Business Improvement District (BID) announced. Join runners, walkers and supporters for the Georgetown 5k Race Against Homelessness Sunday.
Participants can do a 5k run or 2k walk through Georgetown's historic campus to help raise money to end chronic homelessness in Georgetown. All participants will receive pre-race Saxbys Coffee, a SoulCycle class pass, a Chaia taco coupon and even more giveaways.
Runners and walkers compete for a ton of prizes, including: ten free classes from Down Dog Yoga, an annual pass to boating in DC locations, a three-class series from SoulCycle, a three-month membership and personal training from Balance Gym, five free pizzas from &pizza and two $250 gift cards to Launch Trampoline Park.

This event is hosted by the Georgetown Ministry Center and Georgetown University's Center for Social Justice.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with pre-race yoga at 10 a.m. The race will start at 11 a.m.

A Spring Fling Celebration will be held from 12-3 p.m. Attendees can expect local music, food and family-friendly fun. Even if you don't participate in the race, you can purchase a ticket to the Spring Fling Celebration.
It costs $15 for students under 23 to register for the event, and $25 for those 23 and older. The price of registration includes the pre-race yoga session, one complimentary food ticket and a bracelet to access all activites and sancks at the Spring Fling Celebration.
If you don't want to participate in the race, you can buy a Spring Fling Celebration bracelet for $15.
The race will be held at Georgetown University at O Street Northwest. Limited street parking is available in the neighborhoods surrounding Georgetown University, but street parking is free on Sundays. There is also parking available at the Southwest Quad Garage off of Canal Road.
