WASHINGTON, DC — We know the nation’s capital won’t be seeing a white Christmas, according to weather forecasters — in fact, we may see some record-breaking warm temperatures over the holidays.

Here’s what you can expect the next few days, according to the National Weather Service:
- Thursday: Mostly cloudy. Scattered showers in the morning... Then showers likely with isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 70s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent.
- Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers in the evening. Lows around 60. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
- Christmas Day: Mostly cloudy. Rain likely...mainly in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 60s. West winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent.
- Friday Night: Rain likely. Lows in the mid 50s. Chance of rain 60 percent.
- Saturday: Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers. Highs in the mid 60s.
- Saturday Night: Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers. Lows in the mid 50s.
- Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers. Highs in the lower 70s.
