High-Profile DC PR Exec Suspect in Liquor Burglary: Report
Washington Post says that police name David Bass as a suspect in a burglary. Cafe Milano surveillance video was released by DC police.

A high-profile public relations executive in Washington, D.C. is accused of stealing liquor from Cafe Milano, a Georgetown restaurant and bar known for its glittery celebrity crowd.

The Washington Post reports that David Bass is a suspect in the burglary; DC police released a surveillance video this week of two people at the restaurant after it was closed, seen stealing two bottles of liquor. Police say the heist took place at 1:54 a.m. on July 1.
One of the men in the video takes the bottles, while the other appears to be a lookout.

Bass, 49, is the president and CEO of communications firm Raptor Strategies. In a news release announcing the creation of the firm in 2009, it’s noted that “Bass is a 20-year Washington veteran who started as a legislative intern in the Senate and moved through the media world, working for The Weekly Standard, National Journal, Campaigns & Elections, The Hill and The Washington Times. He later served in PR capacities as a consultant to many more -- ... Washingtonian highlights the critical part Bass played in creation of Politico.”
In 2009, Bass faced felony charges for his behavior on a flight from Houston to DC.
