How To Celebrate 2017 National Cherry Blossom Festival In Georgetown
From restaurant specials to cherry blossom cruises, there's tons of stuff going on in Georgetown to celebrate.
GEORGETOWN, DC — Cherry blossom season is upon us. While the beautiful pink flowers are a must-see, you don't have to go to the crowded Tidal Basin during the National Cherry Blossom Festival from March 15-April 16. There's a ton of cherry blossom celebrations going on right outside your door in Georgetown.
Dumbarton Oaks' gardens and pathways are lined with cherry trees during the spring. Visitors can stroll through the ten acres of gardens to see the cherry blossom trees in bloom. The gardens are open Tuesday-Sunday from 2-6 p.m.
If you want to see the cherry blossoms in a fun and unique way, you can hop on a 50-minute round-trip cruise around the Washington Harbour with Potomac Riverboat Company.

Georgetown restaurants are also offering restaurant specials to celebrate. Head over to ENO Wine Bar for a menu blooming with cherry blossom themed options from March 20-April 16. ENO Wine Bar is located at 2810 Pennsylvania Ave. NW.

Diners can chose from a duck pâté with dark cherries, Cherry Blossom Chocolates from Zoe's Chocolate Co., pink peppercorn and pistachios from Stachowski’s Market, served with toasted cherry-walnut bread.
Bourbon Steak is also offering a special Duo of Japanese Wagyu available exclusively during the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
The Cherry Blossom is considered the national flower of Japan, so the Japanese Dou with two cuts of wagyu reigning from different regions in Japan and traditional wagyu accompaniments are an appropriate way to celebrate. The Duo is also served in a Bento Box handcrafted from Cherrywood trees.
