Human Remains Discovered in Potomac: Report

On a day when police were pulling a body out of the Tidal Basin at the Jefferson Memorial in the morning, just hours later police were called to investigate a report of human remains found in the Potomac River, according to a report Wednesday afternoon by NBC-4.

WUSA reported that police boats were in the water earlier near the Kennedy Center.

NBC4 reports the remains were found in the Potomac near 4900 Canal Road.

Police Monday night were investigating a body of a North Carolina man found floating at Rock Creek in Georgetown.
