Hundreds of Team USA Olympic Athletes Descend on Georgetown Wednesday
More than 600 Team USA athletes who competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics will be honored at Georgetown University on Wednesday.

GEORGETOWN, DC — The 2016 Rio Olympics are over, and Team USA absolutely crushed the competition, winning 46 golds and 121 medals overall (Great Britain was second in golds with 27 and China was second in total medals with 70). Now, they're coming to Georgetown to be honored again.
More than 600 Team USA athletes will be at the Team USA Awards presented by Dow, Best of the Games, at Georgetown University's McDonough Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 28. The taped event will be aired on NBCSN on Oct. 4 at 10 p.m.
Confirmed athletes include: Maya DiRado (swimming), Anthony Ervin (swimming), Connor Fields (cycling – BMX), Kayla Harrison (judo), Katie Ledecky (swimming), Steven Lopez (taekwondo), Simone Manuel (swimming), Tatyana McFadden (Paralympic track and field), Helen Maroulis (wrestling), Ibtihaj Muhammad (fencing), April Ross, (beach volleyball), Claressa Shields (boxing), Brad Snyder (Paralympic swimming) and Kyle Snyder (wrestling).

The athletes will walk the Red Carpet from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m., and the awards show will run from 7 until 8:15 p.m. The McDonough Arena is located at 37th and O Street NW.
