A baby was found alone and abandoned Tuesday afternoon in a stroller on a downtown Washington, D.C. sidewalk, according to a report by NBC-4.

In the station’s newscast, a police officer could be seen keeping the baby company; the baby was reportedly in good condition.
The D.C. TV station reports that the baby is now with the D.C. Child and Family Services Agency.

A woman has been arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Cruelty, according to the report, in connection with the abandoned baby. It’s not certain how or if she is related to the baby.
