The Guards closed at 2915 M St., NW in 2012. The new restaurant will rely on a familiar face in Georgetown, Ryan Fichter, the chef at Thunderburger, which is just a stone's throw away at 3056 M St., NW.

Rialto is aiming for a mid-September opening date.
