There is no shortage of outdoor movies to choose from in the District this summer, but what sets the Jane Austen Film Festival apart is the picturesque backdrop of Dumbarton House, a Federal period historic house museum perfect for the romantic stories of the author. For the third year in a row, Dumbarton House will host a three-part outdoor film series screening popular adaptations of some of the most beloved Jane Austen novels.
This series is part of the Star-Spangled Summer, the Washington, DC region’s War of 1812 bicentennial commemoration. For more information on other 1812 commemorative events, visit dcwarof1812.org
