Johnny Rockets in Georgetown Has Grand Reopening, Totally New Look
It is only the third Johnny Rockets in the nation to get redesigned as part of a new modernization campaign by the company.

Johnny Rockets in Georgetown is getting a whole new look.
The 50s diner restaurant chain is continuing with its brand refresh and hosted a grand reopening in Georgetown as part of its "Johnny Rockets 2.0" effort, according to a statement from the company.
"The Johnny Rockets restaurant in Georgetown was known for its 50s diner look, great burgers and shakes and servers wearing soda fountain uniforms that were popular in that decade," the statement reads. "The brand refresh builds on the heritage of Johnny Rockets as it celebrates its 30th anniversary and creates a modern evolution of style, food and fun experiences that have been associated with the brand for so many years."

The company said that teams worked "around the clock" on the design of the restaurant to appeal to a more modern aesthetic. This location has been operating in Georgetown for 18 years.
The revamped restaurant has a brick veneer, grey tones and splashes of red and black as well as high-top tables, counter seating and industrial-style lighting.

The Georgetown Johnny Rockets is only the third restaurant in the country to be redesigned as part of this new effort by the company. The first happened in Syracuse, N.Y. and the second in Mooresville, N.C. Over the next six months, more than 20 restaurants nationwide will go through the redesign.
"From the beginning, the residents and visitors in Georgetown became instant fans of Johnny Rockets," said James Walker, President of Operations and Development. "We are grateful to the community for its loyalty and chose our Georgetown restaurant to be one of the first of our restaurants to showcase and launch our brand new, modern restaurant design."
The grand reopening took place June 30.
