Get ready to say goodbye to Kate Spade Saturday and Jack Spade stores in Georgetown.
Kate Spade Saturday’s 16 company-owned and three partnered store locations, along with its 12 Jack Spade stores nationwide, will be closed in a phased approach during the first half of 2015, the company announced today.
The Georgetown Kate Spade Saturday store is located at 3061 M St. NW. Jack Spade is located at 1250 Wisconsin Ave. NW.

The main Kate Spade New York has a 10-year lease in Georgetown, at 3034 M St.
The Kate Spade Saturday eCommerce site will remain active during this wind-down phase until the label is incorporated and reintroduced into the kate spade new york brand, according to a news release from the company.

CEO Craig Leavitt said in the statement, “We now have a better understanding of our customers’ weekend style, thanks to the hard work and contributions from the members of our Kate Spade Saturday family who developed commercially appealing products and attracted new customers through the Kate Spade Saturday business. We are excited to apply these learnings to the kate spade new york collection.”
The company says it will also close its 12 company-owned Jack Spade stores during the first half of 2015. In the statement, the company noted: “The collection will evolve to include tailored clothing and dress furnishings, in addition to sportswear and bags, as we progress toward becoming a more complete lifestyle brand. The brand’s retail partner and eCommerce presence will continue with no interruptions during the process.”
