LiLi The First boutique is hosting Georgetown's author Cathy Alter

On Sunday, February 12th, 5:00 to 7:00 pm Cathy Alter, an exceptional writer from Georgetown DC, will read, share stories, and sign her new book, CRUSH. LiLi The First will offer a first look to the Spring collection. Wine and light refreshments will be served.

CRUSH brings together stories of heartbreak, humiliation, and hilarity from a roster of popular luminaries, including James Franco, Stephen King, Roxane Gay, Jodi Picoult, Emily Gould, and Hanna Rosin, who share intimate memories of that first intense taste of love. Here are funny, whimsical, sometimes cringe-worthy tales of falling head over heels for River Phoenix, Mary Tyler Moore, Jared Leto, and a host of other pop culture icons.

LiLi The First boutique located in the heart of Georgetown is showcasing selected international and local emerging designers, bringing unique, wearable chic fashion to our nation's capital. The collections are small (max two per size), original (exclusive in DC) and hand picked directly from designers we love. We beleive
that thinking outside of the box when it comes to style adds to women's confidence, strength and success.We know tyle is a reflection of one's personality and is part of who we are as women.

Cathy Alter is a successful freelance writer whose articles and essays have appeared in the O, the Oprah Magazine, Washington Post, Washingtonian, The Atlantic.com, The New York Times, Huffington Post, and McSweeney’s. She is the author of Virgin Territory: Stories From the Road to Womanhood, the memoir, Up for Renewal: What Magazines Taught Me About Love, Sex, and Starting Over, and the recently released anthology, CRUSH: Writers Reflect on Love, Longing, and the Lasting Power of Their First Celebrity Crush. She lives in Washington DC with her husband Karl, their 5-year-old son Leo.
