Man Planned to Kidnap Obama Dog: Report

Washington Post reports that a North Dakota man drove to DC with a truckload of weapons, plans to steal pup, and was arrested Wednesday.

A 49-year old North Dakota man, Scott Stockert, was arrested after driving a truckload of weapons to DC and saying he planned to kidnap an Obama family dog, according to a story Friday in The Washington Post.

The Obamas have two dogs: Bo and Sunny. They are both Portuguese water dogs.

The North Dakota man was arrested Wednesday by police at a Hampton Inn near the Washington Convention Center; police were tipped off to the man by the Secret Service, according to a report by NBC News.

The weapons in the man’s truck included a billy club, machete, as well as an unregistered shotgun and rifle, the TV network reported.

Stockert claimed to be the son of John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe, according to a court document obtained by The Washington Post.

A judge Friday released Stockert, under “high-risk“ supervision, Polito reported.
