Man Stabs Father to Death in Georgetown: Reports

Police have charged 32-year-old Peter Spencer with first degree murder while armed.

GEORGETOWN, DC — A man accused of stabbing his own father to death in Georgetown has been arrested Thursday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department and media reports. Police arrested 32-year-old Peter Spencer on charges of killing 71-year-old Harrison Spencer in the 1600 block of 33rd Street NW on Wednesday.

Numerous reports indicated that the arrested man was the victim's son, and the police said the case was "domestic in nature."

Police officers responded to that address on an aggravated assault call just after 6:30 p.m., finding the elder Spencer suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
