Metro Buses Replace Trains, Lines Will Single-Track: April 20-21
If you're taking the Metro this weekend, you should plan accordingly.

WASHINGTON, DC — There are plenty of things to do and see in the D.C. area this weekend — including the DC Beer Festival, Eggstravaganza, and Star Party.
If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, April 20 or Sunday, April 21, you should plan accordingly. Buses will replace trains on certain lines. Several lines will also be single-tracking. Here's everything you need to know before heading out for the weekend:
Red Line trains will operate every 9 minutes between Silver Spring and Medical Center, and every 18 minutes between Glenmont and Shady Grove. Trains will single-track between Grosvenor and Twinbrook.

Buses will replace trains between Morgan Boulevard and Largo Town Center on the Silver and Blue lines.
From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Yellow Line trains will run between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Square only to coordinate with Green Line service. To get to Fort Totten, transfer to a Green Line train at Mt. Vernon Square. Starting at 10 p.m., trains will operate on a normal schedule between Huntington and Fort Totten.

Green Line trains will run every 15 minutes, but will single-track between Navy Yard-Ballpark and Anacostia.
Orange Line trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule.
