WASHINGTON, DC — There are plenty of things to do and see in the D.C. area this weekend. Some attractions you'll find include: the Giant National Capital Barbecue Battle, Summer Solstice Soirée, AFI Docs Film Festival, and Great American Backyard Campout.

If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, June 22 or Sunday, June 23, you should plan accordingly: six Blue and Yellow Line train stations south of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport will be closed. The station closures, which will be in effect until Sept. 8, are part of a larger improvement project by WMATA.
