Metropolitan Police Department: Arrest Made In An Armed Robbery (Knife) Offense: 2200 Block Of Virginia Avenue, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Carjacking Task Force announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Saturday, October 17, 2020, in the 2200 block of Virginia Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 9:40 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. Both of the suspects brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene.

On Wednesday, November 24, 2021, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 19 year-old Jada Amare Winder, of Capital Heights, Maryland, was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery (Gun).

This case remains under investigation. Anyone who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia
