Mid-Summer at ENO Wine Bar: Celebrate the Season with a Variety of Hard to Find Rieslings from Abroad
Georgetown's favorite wine bar now features over 25 hard to find German and Austrian imports found on no other wine list in the area
ENO Wine Bar has given its wine list the perfect mid-summer makeover, including rare and organic vintage imports arriving just in time for the hottest days of the season. To celebrate these fantastic wines, ENO has created its special Mid-Summer Riesling tasting flight that explores the broad tasting notes of Riesling wines. Featured wines include:
• Kunstler “Estate” Trocken, 2014: A dry, racy Riesling with hints of mineral and cox-orange apples
• Darting “Ungsteiner Weilberg” Kabinett Trocken, 2014: A refined off-dry Riesling with citrus fruit, herbal tones and nuances of balsam

• Minges “Pfalz” Kabinett, 2014: A spicy and zippy Riesling with hints of talc and eucalyptus that feints dry, but finishes with sweet pineapple notes
To highlight the diverse tasting notes of each Riesling, ENO has created a trio of Summer Mini-Tarts to accompany each wine. The trio consists of savory, sweet and spicy selections that include:

• A savory tomato tart to pair with the Kunstler ‘Estate’ Trocken Riesling
• A sweet peach tart to pair with the Darting ‘Ungsteiner Weilberg’ Riesling
• A spicy crab tart to pair with the Minges ‘Pfalz’ Riesling
The specialty wine flight is priced at $18, and the accompanying mini-tart trio is priced at $12.
Other German Riesling and Austrian Grüner wines by the glass such as the Dönnhoff Estate Riesling Trocken, 2015 and Hirsch Grüner Veltliner, 2014 start at $12.
In celebration of long, summer nights, ENO Wine Bar will offer 30% off all Riesling wine bottles for the entire month of August.
ENO Wine Bar is also offering guests an escape to those balmy DC summer afternoons with live music and wine at their Riesling Summer Party on Saturday, August 27 from 3 PM – 6PM. Guests will enjoy specially crafted Riesling flights along with a cheese and charcuterie station. The event is priced at $30 per person including tax and gratuity. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite.
