Monday Weather: Delays and More in DC

Due to the freezing rain forecast for Monday morning, the following delays were expected today:

• DCPS schools will open 2 hours late on Monday, Jan. 12.
• Central Office staff will follow any DC government decision.
• District of Columbia government will open on time.
• Dulles International and Reagan National were reporting no problems but some cancellations due to weather in other cities. Check with your airline.

As of about 9:15 a.m., roadways were clear with a few slick spots reported; reports are that sidewalks can be slippery for pedestrians, and drivers should remain cautious.
