New Korean Restaurant Coming to Georgetown
First-time restaurateur is opening up Zannchi on Wisconsin Avenue in March.

A first-time restaurateur is looking to mix up the dining scene in Georgetown this March with a new Korean restaurant.
Located at 1529 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Zannchi will seek to offer traditional Korean cuisine in its new 40-seat dining room -- with plans to expand to the second floor of the building as well as add a patio in the spring, according to a statement.
Zannchi will offer Banchan, which are tapas-style small plates, and a variety of Bibimap, which are hot stone rice bowls. It will also have Kimbap -- rice and seaweed rolls -- on the menu.

The restaurant is owned by Eunjung Kim, a Korea native and a Georgetown MBA student. Although it’s her first time opening a restaurant, she’s not entirely new to the business: her family owned a restaurant chain in Korea.
