Nike will open its flagship Washington, D.C. location at 3040 M St. NW in Georgetown on Oct. 25. The official Nike DC twitter account tweeted the news Friday.
"Nike Georgetown opens 10/25. Your official destination for all things Nike in the nation's capitol," according to the tweet.

Nike takes over the space once occupied by Barnes and Noble, which closed at the end of 2011.
Other tweets from the NikeDC twitter account announce that the new shop will offer gait analysis for runners and will host a run club weekly on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Nike has several factory stores in both Maryland and Virginia, but no NIKE or NIKETOWN stores.
