Freelance Retort-On My Own Again

Burn Baby Burn...Staying Alive...

I’m on another one of my long “Bachelor” weekends.

Yep, that time of year again when Z takes flight and heads off to Chicagoland for her annual fun, family visit.

And usually the family enjoys it too, once they figure out who she is and why she’s there…because let’s face it, Z’s a lot fun…and she’ll usually do the dishes.

So I’m here…alone…on my own…alone…here…right through Monday evening.

But don’t get me wrong…it’s not like I need handouts or anything…but I have cut a revolving slot in the front door for meal drop offs, if anyone is so inclined.

And, just in case, I’m leaving my dirty laundry in the clothes bin I’ve installed by the front stoop.

You know…in case anyone’s also so inclined.

There’s a separate opening for clean returns on the side, as well.

Because I like to be accommodating.

Just sayin….

But, no…seriously…there is a separate enclosure so the clean doesn’t get mixed with the dirty.

Nobody wants that….

Anyway, it’s not like I’m gonna have a lot of time sitting around here with nothing to do.

I’ve already turned the wall to wall carpeting over.  No sense letting one side go unused.

This way we can probably get another 10-20 years out of it.

And I think the new skylight I installed in the basement, or will finish installing by Monday, once I can piece the drop ceiling back together will be cool.

I just have to cut out the holes on the other two floors, too…plus the attic.

But of course it’s not gonna be all work and no play for this Bachelor Buckaroo…no sir.

Maybe I’ll head back up to that crazy dance club out by the airport that I went to a couple of years ago.
