Police ID Homicide Victim on K Street NW
David Midgett, 24, of Washington, D.C. was stabbed and later succumbed to his injuries, police said.

DC Police have identified the victim in a fatal stabbing early Friday.
The man has been identified as 24-year-old Joel David Midgett of Northwest, DC, according to police.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the homicide that took place in the 200 block of K Street, NW (see map below) on Friday at approximately 1:10 am.

Members of the First District responded to reports of a stabbing. When they arrived, two men were located, suffering from apparent stab wounds, police said. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported both victims to area hospitals. The first victim later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The second victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
As the investigation continues, additional information will be released as it becomes available, police said.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
